Press Release – Praise Ayodele Declares Interest in Ekiti Governorship Race

Praise Ayodele (AOP), a public affairs advocate and community leader, has officially announced his intention to contest for the office of Governor of Ekiti State, presenting a vision focused on economic transformation, infrastructure development, and people-centered governance.

Speaking on his decision, AOP emphasized that his ambition is driven by a deep desire to reposition Ekiti State for greater prosperity and sustainable development.

“Our state is blessed with talented people and enormous potential. However, many of our citizens continue to face challenges such as unemployment, poor infrastructure, and limited economic opportunities. It is time to rethink how we govern and how we develop our economy,” he said.

Praise Ayodele noted that his leadership philosophy is rooted in servant leadership, a model that prioritizes the needs and welfare of the people above all else.

Before entering the governorship race, AOP built a reputation for service and leadership during his time as a Student Union President, where he initiated projects aimed at improving student welfare and campus infrastructure. He has also participated in civic advocacy efforts that supported the establishment of the Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun) to enhance regional security.

According to him, Ekiti State must embrace economic diversification, private sector growth, and infrastructure expansion to create opportunities for its growing population.

“Our goal is to build a state where young people can find meaningful employment, where businesses can thrive, and where government truly works for the people,” he added.
